About Us

The Gadsby family has a long history in the FRP business and have seen the industry grow substantially over the years throughout the San Antonio area. Here is a little about out Founder and current owner.

HAROLD GADSBY - Founder

Harold Gadsby Founded the company in 1979 with a dream and a little bit of savings he was able to put together. Harold was in the Air Force for some time to have been able to save enough to support himself long enough to get the business off the ground.

Harold was a father and loving husband who was also able to develop real estate while also growing his business. 

Military Life

Harold also lived a very interesting life in the military. in January of 1948 he enlisted in the navy and attended boot camp at Camp Berry Great Lakes, Illinois. April of that same year he was assigned to Jacksonville Naval Base where he was assigned to base flight while also attending Engineman School. Following this he was assigned to a 63 ft crash boat at the same base.

In 1950 he was then assigned to Key West Florida on the PCS 1384 where he attended sonar school would "chase submarines all day long".
in 1951 Harold Sailed through the Panama Canal on the way to San Diego California. There he was named Chief in Charge on the overhauling engine for landing crafts at Little Creek Naval Base where he also attended Cold Weather Operation School. in the same year Harold also was assigned to 12 Carter Hall then later to ARL 21. He would spend his time here repairing all types of landing crafts. By 1956 Harold was honorably discharged from the United States Navy.

On the same day in 1956 Harold would also enlist in the United States Air Force. He would be stationed at McCoy AFB in Orlando, Florida. in 1959 he would be transferred to Loring AFB in Maine. In 1959 Harold would be assigned to Thule AFB in Greenland then later reassigned to Shepherd AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. 3 years later he would be transferred to Altus AFB in Altus, Oklahoma. Harold would leave to attend school at Vandenburg AFB in California only to promptly return. Harold would later be assigned to Vietnam where he would serve as part of the Ground Support Branch. Following his tour in Vietnam he would then be stationed at Luke AFB in Phoenix, Arizona. Harold would retire from the United States Air Force in February of 1974 holding a rank of Chief Master Sergeant. 


PAMELA GADSBY - Owner

Over the years Pamela has helped in the day to day business with her father while also balancing her own CPA career and maintaining a ranch. While the occasional help was appreciated by all, as Harold health became more of an issue Pamela came on full time to handle more of the company's day to day operations. Following the passing of Harold, Pamela has become the sole owner of A&H Building Products in 2018. 

Now as the company is progressing forward, Pamela is aggressively moving to grow business presence as well as overall sales. feel free to contact Pamela with any questions on FRP or anything related.
