Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP)
(also called fiber-reinforced polymer) is a composite material made of a polymer matrix reinforced with fibers. The fibers are usually glass (in fiberglass), carbon (in carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer), aramid, or basalt. Rarely, other fibers such as paper, wood, or asbestos have been used. The polymer is usually an epoxy, vinyl-ester, or polyester thermos-setting plastic, though phenol formaldehyde resins are still in use.
FRP's are commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, and construction industries. We mainly deal with new construction and remodels in need of the materials for building to code in certain environments that require a certain level of sanitation such as kitchens, bathrooms, labs, clean rooms etc.. A&H Building Products is one of the few local suppliers of FRP in the San Antonio, TX area that offers a wide range of colors and sizes of FRP. Stocking a large variety of sizes on site.
